The NHS Wales Finance Academy is a voluntary collaboration of every NHS Wales Finance Director whose collective ambition is to develop an NHS Finance function that is “best suited to Wales but comparable with the best anywhere”.
Our ambitious aim is delivered through four interdependent programmes each sponsored by an individual NHS Wales Finance Director:
We deliver this collaboration through the Finance Academy Board, with membership drawn from every Director of Finance in NHS Wales plus key partner organisations. The Board is supported by a Director and small programme team.
The ethos of the Finance Academy is that every member of staff working in the NHS Wales Finance is a “member” of the Academy and plays a vital contribution to improvement of the finance function. We have a range of activities to support the development of leadership across the spectrum of the finance community with the strong messaging that personal leadership applies at all levels.
