We have created a video which provides students with an overview on how to join the NHS Wales Finance Family and start their career journey with us.  The video also informs students about the benefits to having a career with NHS Finance.  You can find the video to show your students here: https://youtu.be/DUOErsdHYmE

We work with NHS Finance teams across Wales.  If you would like us to attend an assembly or career event to talk about NHS Wales Finance and what we have to offer, please get in touch by completing the Microsoft Form: https://forms.office.com/e/S8jTsQRz5e

Once completed, a member of the team will then be in touch shortly to arrange this.  We have lots of resources to inform and engage with your students including presentations, games, tasks, and a quiz.

Here are some stories from our Apprentices across Wales.  You can find more here.

“I applied to become an apprentice because I didn’t want to go down the typical university route with mountains of debt and felt ready to start working and investing my time back into myself with my studies. This apprenticeship scheme ticked all the boxes and had the benefit of having a name behind it that I knew I could trust!”

Abigail, Apprentice at WAST

“There are many great benefits and opportunities which come with working for NHS Wales Finance. As well as this, working for NHS Wales Finance is allowing me to gain experience alongside my AAT studies.

I also like how I started alongside other apprentices. This has allowed us to discuss our working weeks, help each other with both work and our studies, create good friendships in work.”

Lois, Apprentice at Swansea Bay University Health Board

Here are some stories from our Graduates across Wales.  You can find more here.

Overall, the scheme has been a great opportunity, and I have gained and developed invaluable skills and experiences, which I’m really looking forward to applying to future roles within NHS Finance.

Mared, Graduate Trainee at Hywel Dda University Health Board

“I applied to become an NHS Wales Financial Management Graduate because during my university studies I really enjoyed the numerical and analytical aspect and wanted to use these skills in my career. I applied for the scheme because of the rotational aspect of being able to see lots of different finance departments within one organisation within the 3 years on the scheme as well as the opportunity to further develop myself and work towards the ACCA qualification. Another reason I applied for the scheme is the curiosity I had for what finance would be like for such a large organisation as NHS Wales and thus the opportunities that could arise from that.”

Rebecca, Graduate Trainee at Aneurin Bevan University Health Board
