Are you looking for an alternative to university but with the same long-term prospects? Interested in a career in finance and accountancy?

Then have a look at what our Apprenticeship Programme has to offer.

What is the All Wales Public Sector Finance Apprenticeship Programme?

Get a financial qualification and learn about public sector finance through the apprenticeship programme.

The three-year fixed term programme offers professional training with the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) from level 2 through to level 4, supplemented with further professional training.

You’ll have the unique opportunity of spending time with other partner bodies, experiencing the full range of finance functions.

Who is part of the programme?

This exciting new apprenticeship programme is being delivered in partnership with members of the Finance Skills Development Group (FSDG). The FSDG includes organisations such as:

  • NHS Wales
  • Audit Wales
  • Welsh Government and sponsored bodies
  • Local government
  • Gwent Police

If you have a big ambition to work in one of the toughest roles in modern organisations, are serious about a career in NHS management, have not been to University but hold three A-levels A*-C and can apply your passion, drive and determination to make a difference then we are interested in you!

The programme will stretch you and give you the opportunity to develop your financial management and leadership skills whilst studying for a professional accountancy qualification through an intense development experience, learning to work alongside clinicians and other professionals.

In addition, due to our innovative partnership with other Wales Public Sector Bodies we are excited to offer you the opportunity to take part in secondments to gain valuable insight and experience into other public sector services.
